Controls are W,A,S,D for thrust and strafing, mouse for steering, left-click to fire, and X to kick in the afterburners. Everything uses your capacitor, which recharges slowly, so don't overdo your afterburner use, or you won't be able to use your guns.
Enemy ships leave blue ion-trails as they fly around - but start to burn red if their damage gets high enough. You'll know your damage is increasing as you hear the enemy shells bounce off your hull, and bullet-holes appear in your front windscreen.
